1. hey ess isn't it time for your english homework? it's disgusting silly! www.dictionary.com
2. well here's what i would do . . . everytime they need to go outside to potty or poo take them on leash over to the prepared spot. no potty/poo no freedom in yard. if they do go where you want then have a party and hand out a 'shrimp from the barbie' heehee. once someone goes in the spot it will be easier to designate that area as the toilet. i think you can even buy stuff to put down to encourage them to go in a certain place. we put down mulch or sawdust and my two seem to love it. the love it even more when we put down fresh mulch they race to christen it!
3. then he runs up and gives you big kisses!
4. well you got the bitch part right
5. normally i might run thru a detailed behavior modification plan but there are so many things going on and so many things to consider that the best i am gonna do is ask that you find a positive trainer in your area (pm me if you need help) and do a couple private lessons to get you on the right track.
6. both my dogs are very vocal and growly during play so they growl for that. aspen used to guard his food bowl from gaia and he would growl at her. gaia had a brief resource guarding problem with greenies but we worked with her and she doesn't guard anything but me now
7. gimme a sentence that describes your dog's motto. gaia's motto would be 'take no prisoners' or 'leave every man behind' aspen's quite simply is 'will do tricks for food'
8. this is so true! one time my friend's rhodie would not get out of my crotch -- i mean she wouldn't even let me walk and she kept banging her head into me. more than usual  the next day i got that all too familiar twinge in my back that indicated a bladder infection. went to dr and told him a rr diagnosed me -- sure enough i had an infection. guys read no further . . . gaia gets all 'concerned' and curious around that time of the month for me. as if i don't know already what's going on  aspen is probably the most perceptive tho -- he will not leave my side if he senses i feel bad.
9. yes you have to get this pup to the vet hasta la pronto! don't wait on advice from us -- get a move on to the vet and get that puppy healthy! if you can't properly care for her then what good have you done her?
10. OR you could just not travel (jackie maya and pooh told me to say it)
11. what are the pills? sound like steroids with the excessive thirst and piddles. vets frequently give these for allergies. does he lick or itch anywhere else? definitely consider what TDG says with elimination diet -- what kind of food does he get?
12. maybe the shelties were confused by you n.i accent? glad it worked out in the end. please tell me someone knew where you were? what if you had a seizure?
13. any amount is appreciated -- with cheechweech's help we have decided to donate to best friends because there are no chi rescues near her.
14. have you asked the neuro whether there is an anti-seizure med he could use until maybe you can manage the fungal infection? maybe it won't be effective or maybe you already asked -- just trying to think of something you haven't tried :D hope all works out for starr and he continues to have more good days than bad!
15. oh ok! so what anti-fungal is he on? that website seemed to imply diflucan worked best for cases where the cns is involved.
16.
Yes it is.....because of the leisions in his brain and brain stem its affecting his central nervous system...the first MRI was in July he had 2 spots and the 1 on the brain stem...in Oct he had 4 spots.
yes it is what? the 'c' word? you're not working with me here! confirmed brain cancer? i have no experience with that one -- maybe someone else can help ya!
17. honestly all that stuff still sounds like central nervous system problems. try to think pawsitive :D if we don't speak the "c" word maybe it won't be that!
18. ok so i did some quick research on valley fever and i found a site with good detail about the disease. i don't know how much of this is new to you or how much you already know. given the lesions and the seizures it sounds like this infection has attacked starr's cns. the website explains that in those cases the dog may have to be on anti-fungals for the rest of their life -- but you can manage it which is great news. one thing i will suggest is that if he does have bad days or pain you might think of acupuncture to help with these symptoms (a vet acupuncturist that is). my dogs get acupuncture as needed and it helps them tremendously. so here is the website . . . http://www.vfce.arizona.edu/VFID-dodogs.htm it has lots of good info. i wish you and starr the best. pleae keep us updated :D
19. so then the fungal infection is a positive diagnosis? poor puppy i had a spinal tap and that was quite an ordeal -- i can't imagine doing it again!
20. howdy. sorry starr is having a rough time of it. have you seen an oncologist? or a neurologist? have they done blood work to look for elevated white cell count?
21. she loved you ess and so did aspen! you were already in the yard tho -- that's approval! did you hear the barking and growling when we were in the driveway? that was ms thang!
22. as most of you know cheech has gone to rainbow bridge and with it being holiday time i expect that is especially hard on his family. michele and i thought it would be nice to donate money to a chi rescue near cheechweech in memory of cheech. i know everyone is strapped for cash and stressed out with the holiday so there is no pressure or shame in not donating. if you would like to contribute please pm either of us. we will send out a sympathy card shortly. i know this is not something we have done in the past and i don't want anyone to resent or be disgruntled because we didn't send a card or donate money for you. it's Christmastime and i just felt the need to do something to help cheechweech. this way cheech gives back to a chi in need.
23. here's a little update for ya . . . yesterday my neighbor who is building the house came and apologized for the retard's behavior. i told him that the only thing he did wrong was let that dude hang out over there. i got the impression that retard was uninvited and wouldn't take the hint to leave. i also told my neighbor that i did not snatch snoopy nor did i call anyone about the dog. he said he wishes i did call -- not that he doesn't like snoopy -- i think he realizes snoopy would be better off somewhere else. big of him to apologize and take responsibility for something that happened at his house, don't ya agree? think it was the fork threat? or maybe my colorful language?
24. aspen loves anyone and everyone who will pay him attention or treat him. gaia likes people once i have okayed them. i don't like most people, does that count?
25. we have the kuranda beds which are like this one kinda. my guys love them.
