The Havaneser does not earn regarded it, only as a lap dog to become, for it is a full dog - a dog personality in little format. Like of altersher it is shut the lady of the house more, but hangs on the remaining families members also , the children are the best comrade always.

Characteristics
Alert, highly trainable, affectionate. Naturally joyful and charming. Enjoys being a Clown. Good with young children; full of love.
Temperament
The Havanese is a sturdy little Dog, low on his legs, lovely and quick with long, abundant hair, soft and preferably wavy. The temperament of the Havanesers is very nice. The Havaneser is very adaptable for people the movement love a ideal accompany dog. It does not require much room, In a house with garden, he feels at home everywere!
History
The breed comes from the Western Mediterranean region and has developed along the Spanish and Italian coastal region, Ti would seem that these Dogs were importet early in Cuba by ocean navigatingItalian Captains Erroneously the most frequent brown colour of these Dogs (tobacco) gave birth to the legend wich would mean it to be a breed originating from Havana,capital of Cuba.The political events however have led to the total disappearance of the old blood lines of the Havanese in Cuba apparently a few Dogs could be successfully smuggled out from Cuba :ther descendants have survived in the USA.
