The Gordon Setter is a medium sized dog,
with a wonderful temperament. They make great family dogs, but will need some
activitess to do. It got good nerves,
and it is friendly and calm.

The Gordon Setter got a wonderful temperament, most of them love people.
They are good with children too. You
migth not belive it but Gordon Setters
are useful garddogs to, but if you're
looking for a guarddog, you must look
for another breed. After all it is bred
for birdhunting in the forest and mountains. It is a true hunting dog.
History
Gordon setters comes from scotland, it's
beeing sad that it is a cross of spaniel, pointer, bloodhound and the black and s tan collie that liked birdhunting.
They say that it was after the short haired collie, the gordon setter got it's color, but its also beeing sad that it can have been a black and tan spaniel.
It was the 4.duke of Gordon in scotland on the end of 1700-years, that made it for birdhunting.
Gordon-castle setter's wasn't so fast runners, but it gave rare false condition. They used to be bigger and
slower than the other setter breeds, but
after years with generations they got smaller and fast runners, with good nose.
