When my Miniature Bull Terrier (Stanley) ran down
staires to welcome my dad home from his long day at work, he fetched
a ball and begged dad to throw it up the staires for him to catch.
Dad happily threw the ball and followed Stanley
up into the living room (Stanley gets very excited when dad comes
home because he loves him so much!)
But dad was in for a suprise when Stanley quickly
charged into him knocking him off his feet! When dad fell, his loose
change fell out of his pocket. Stanley must have thought that the
shiny looking 50p was a delicious sweet because he ate it!
This swallowing of the 50p led to stanley being
hung up-side down and having his tummy squeezed to release the money.
However, this did not work, but ended up with Stanley having various
x-rays to find out where the 50p was! Stanley seemed happy in himself
except for the occasional sad eye as though a way to remind us that
he had this lump of metal wedged in his tummy!
The vet decided that we should wait for nature
to take it's place and wait for the 50p to find it's way out of
the reer end!.........3 months later, after Stanley ate LOTS of
plants out the garden, we had a success of sickness which brought
up the 50p.
The 50p is now framed and is displayed above Stanleys
bed, quoting 'Stanleys 50p!'
